Spots in front of the eyes: Also known as "floaters", blurry spots that drift in front of the eyes but do not block vision. [1]

The blur is the result of debris from the vitreous casting a shadow on the retina. The spot is the image formed by a deposit of protein drifting about in the vitreous, the clear jelly-like substance that fills the middle of the eye. [1]

Floaters are often described by patients as spots, strands, or little flies. Some patients even want to use a fly-swatter to eliminate these pesky floaters. [1]

Floaters are usually benign (not serious). They can result from a separation of the vitreous gel from the retina. This condition is called a posterior vitreous detachment (PVD).[1]

Although a PVD occurs commonly, there are no retinal tears associated with the condition most of the time. [1]

No treatments are available for floaters although they tend to become less annoying over time. Remember also that floaters are usually not associated with serious eye problems.[1]

Permanent or recurring white or black spots in the same area of your field of vision may, however, be an early warning sign of cataracts or another serious eye problem. [1]

If you experience a shadow or curtain that affects any part of your vision, this can indicate that a retinal tear has occurred and has progressed to a detached retina.[1]

In this situation, you should immediately consult an ophthalmologist since time is of the essence.[1]

So you have been seeing black spots and strange floating shapes in your vision.[2]

Maybe these spots are especially noticeable after looking at bright lights or looking up at the sky on a clear day? [2]

Constantly seeing spots and having them wander across your vision can certainly get very annoying, distracting and stressful and you shouldn’t have to write it off as “just one of those things” that happens as your eyes age. [2]

Surgical options for dealing with the spots involve DRAINING your eyes and replacing the “vitreous”, the main jelly-like part of the eye with synthetic fluid or shooting a laser at each tiny floater hoping to zap it away, but still not guaranteeing that more won’t just return.[2]

Not only do these surgeries run you thousands of dollars, but they’re also dangerous. Can you imagine a GOOD way of draining all the fluid from your eye or shooting a laser at something the size of a speck of dust in your eye.[2]

Though these surgeries are available, a 100% safe and effective method of surgery hasn’t yet been developed. Thankfully there are methods available to deal with seeing black spots and eye floaters in your vision that are:

•Safe and Natural

•Eliminate black spots in your vision and prevent more from forming

•Lead to improved vision

•And can be performed at home, at work or just about anywhere

If you’re interested in finding out more about removing black spots from your vision and keeping them away in just a few weeks all the information is available here.[2]

Those black or gray spots, sometimes called floaters, can take on many shapes and colors, from clear, squiggly lines to the black spots you’ve been experiencing.[2]

They occur as tiny clumps of cells from the tissue at the back of your eye wear down and break off, as the result of poor blood flow to the eyes or as the vitreous begins to shrink over time. [2]

This leaves them floating in the “vitreous fluid” the jelly like liquid that makes of the majority of the eye. As these clumps of cells move around they can sometimes come into our vision and are observed as black or gray spots.[2]

This is often more noticeable in bright conditions like outside on a sunny day, or when looking at a plain, even surface such as a wall.[2]

in your eye?
- Michael Mauser

This all happens as eyes age and happens to everyone, occurring more commonly the older you get. This can get very frustrating to constantly be seeing spots that won’t go away. [2]

Another cause of floaters that you should be aware of is a retinal tear. This is a serious condition that can have lasting repercussions if not treated.[2]

When a tear in the lining of the eye forms, an increased number of floaters will appear suddenly. It is very important to consult with a doctor in situations of a retinal tear.[2]

Current medical experts view eye floaters with the absolute lowest priority.[2]

If you tell your doctor that you are suffering from floaters, unless you consistently push them over many months for a solution they will usually just dismiss your concerns. [2]

This is because the medical system we have today is surgery based and developed around using cookie cutter procedures that can be applied to everyone either as a pill or a medical procedure.[2]

Ursachen und Behandlungsmöglichkeiten
von Glaskörpertrübungen

The reason that doctors will not consider treatment for this condition is because their solutions are so risky, invasive and expensive.[2]

Eye Floaters Treatment – Find a Real Eye Floaters Cure.[3]

Ask a doctor what you should do about your eye floaters and you will typically get the answer, “Nothing, you will just have to live with them, maybe they won’t seem so bad after a while.” [3]

Since there is no pill you can take or simple procedure that a doctor can sell you, there is very little interest in an eye floaters treatment. [3]

Those Eye Floaters Live Inside You

Never mind that certain lifestyle changes and exercises can, in some people, totally cure floaters and stop them from returning, as that doesn’t seem to be the place for modern medicine.[3]

Diseases like cancer and diabetes receive tons of funding and media attention (not a bad thing) because they affect so many people and are potentially life threatening. [3]

However not all medical issues get an equal shake when it comes to eliminating them from society.[3]

A problem like floaters is basically ignored since it isn’t fatal and isn’t as common a problem.[3]

For most people that is totally fine, but when you are a daily sufferer and your quality of life is being affected it becomes a different story.[3]

If you have enough money and are desperate enough you may find that there are doctors who can perform treatments.[3]

Vitrectomy is surgery to remove some or all of the vitreous humor from the eye. Anterior vitrectomy entails removing small portions of the vitreous humor from the front structures of the eye — often because these are tangled in an intraocular lens or other structures. Pars plana vitrectomy is a general term for a group of operations accomplished in the deeper part of the eye, all of which involve removing some or all of the vitreous humor — the eye's clear internal jelly.[4]

Glaskörpertrübungen im Auge

A vitrectomy is one of the more dangerous procedures you can undergo as far as eye surgery is concerned and often has harsh side effects, many of which could result in blindness. [3]

Bleeding into the vitreous gel, retinal detachment, corneal edema and an infection INSIDE the eye are the most common side effects.[3]

The most dangerous is retinal tearing or detachment, where the nerves of the retina detach from the back of the eye, which can result in blindness if left untreated.[3]

A retinal detachment usually results in a very high increase in the number of floaters that will be visible, in fact, this is sometimes the cause of floaters in the first place.[3]

Unfortunately, this is also the treatment option necessary to repair a retinal tear or detachment, so if you did not have this issue before the surgery, the chances of it happening after are greatly increased.[3]

02 – Glaskörpertrübung!
Da kann man nichts machen?
(Dr. Brasse)

If you do have a retinal detachment or tear you may notice a large increase in the number and frequency of floaters as well as sudden flashes of light.[3]

If the retina becomes pulled away from the choroid for some reason, this is called Retinal Detachment. Since the choroid provides oxygen for the retina, when detachment occurs it is very dangerous as the retina needs oxygen to allow you to see.[5]

•An abundance of floaters appearing rapidly. This is one of the most dangerous and most extreme ways for floaters to appear as cells begin to degrade and break away into the vitreous humour.[5]

•Flashes of light appear in the eye with the detachment. This may be accompanied by seeing spots afterwards.[5]

•A dark area which appears in your field of vision. A small patch of your vision will be affected and go black.[5]

It is very important that you see a doctor immediately if you experience these symptoms as this condition is very serious and can quickly result in blindness.[5

The symptoms may not appear to be that serious at first but they will likely worsen as time goes on and are the warning signs of a more serious problem which you can’t see (the detachment).[5]

The most common cause of this condition is simple aging. [5]

As the body ages the vitreous fluid may naturally start to shrink or contract from the passage of time, as you pass 40 detachment becomes more likely with each year.[5]

When this happens the interior of the eye is no longer full and the retina starts to pull in to fill the space. When it eventually does pull in it can cause the retina to tear or become detached.[5]

Hello, I have recently experienced a sudden onset of floaters in both eyes. The floaters resembles strings with knots in them as well as cobwebs. Some floaters are larger than others and are most obvious in bright environments. The floaters are easily seen by an ophthalmologist and optometrist and no retinal tear or other serious eye condition has been identified after multiple extensive eye exams. Both eye professionals have informed me that the floaters lie from the middle of the eye to the lens. They noticed them immediately upon their initial view through the slit lamp. The floaters move in whatever direction I move my eyes. They appear to be very fluid in their movement and do not have any proclivity for a particular space within the vitreous.[6]

Eye Floaters.

    Dear all,

Since about 7 months I see a small blinking spot in my left eye under certain conditions (mostly when I am outside and there is enough light).

It's not a floater (I have also those). I've made a little animation here to give you an idea :

    http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/3433/landscape2.gif

    Some notes :

    - It only appears in my left eye, if I close it the spot disappears

    - It always appears at the same place and it doesn't move (unlike floaters)

    - It's related to the amount of light my eye receive. If I can see the spot and put sunglasses on, it disappears

    - It's also related to my focus distance. It usually appears when I am looking at a close object, if I look far away it disappears

Since about a month I see the spot much more often, it requires less and less light to appear. I can sometimes also see it very briefly when I blink, regardless of my focus distance.

I visited two ophthalmologists and one neurologist, and had a lot of exams, including :

    - eye angiography - OCT - visual field test - intraocular pressure measurement - MRI - etc.

and everything was normal, except for a vitreous detachment which is apparently not problematic.

    I am 32, I don't take any medication, and I don't have other symptoms.

I was wondering if anybody had a similar condition, or has an idea of what it could be?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. [7]

    Gözde Siyah Nokta Uçuşması

    Siyah Nokta Org

    14.09.2015

Gözde siyah nokta uçuşması, günümüzde genellikle yaşı biraz daha ilerlemiş kişilerde görüle bir durumdur. Bu sorun zamanla artarak kişileri rahatsız edecek derecelere ulaşır. [8]

    Moezrenie.com
